I am deeply concerned about Stellantis' plans to close its Vauxhall site in Luton next year putting over 1,000 local jobs at risk.
As an MP covering part of Luton and with the factory employing local people from our constituency, I am determined to get to the bottom of this and get some assurances for local people about both the short and long-term future of this site.
I have already written to local stakeholders to try and arrange a meeting and I'm going to be scrutinising how the Government have allowed this to happen and what support they will be able to provide to help keep jobs in Bedfordshire.
