Elstow Medical Centre is set to receive funding for modernisation works in a move welcomed by local MP Blake Stephenson.
The Mid Bedfordshire MP has been campaigning for better GP services for residents across the constituency since his election last year.
It has now been announced that Elstow will receive a share of £102 million funding to deliver upgrades to the surgery.
This follows the recent news that Wootton will be benefitting from significant funding to build a new GP surgery for the area, following work by local Conservatives.
And Blake continues to campaign for a solution to the ongoing issues in delivering a GP surgery for Wixams.
Blake Stephenson MP said: "Modernisation of our local healthcare is vital to ensure more people get better access to our GP surgeries so this is welcome news for Elstow.
"But the ongoing failure to deliver a GP surgery for Wixams, almost two decades since the first shovels went into the ground, simply cannot be ignored and I will continue to push all parties to do better."
