Government's Digital ID Plans Criticised By Blake Stephenson MP

Blake Stephenson MP questioning the Government on Digital ID
The Government may have partially u-turned on its plans to introduce mandatory digital ID, but there are still so many unanswered questions.
 
It was clear from the start that despite the claims of the Labour Party, there was no chance digital ID would prevent illegal working.
 
Yet the Government has failed to answer questions on how much this attack on British freedom and liberty will cost the British taxpayer.
 
The Minister is clearly not taking the level of concern seriously. Rather than answering my question, he was more interested in making jokes.
 
We are holding the Government to account, and will not let them evade scrutiny, no matter how much they may try.
 
Our work will continue.
