Popular local restaurant Baan Thai has officially re-opened at its new home at The View in Pegsdon, with local MP Blake Stephenson cutting the ribbon.
The local family business has been based in Barton-le-Clay and has built up a loyal customer base, serving authentic Thai cuisine, since originally opening in 2018.
And on Wednesday (29th April), Baan Thai held a grand opening at their new location with Mid Bedfordshire MP Blake Stephenson in attendance to do the honours of cutting the ribbon.
Blake Stephenson MP commented: “We are incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic local family-run business right on our doorstep in Baan Thai at The View.
“The food was absolutely delicious and I can’t recommend it enough – and of course you can’t beat the beautiful surroundings of the Pegsdon Hills.
“I know it’s been a hugely popular business in Barton so a huge congratulations to the whole team on their move to a bigger site and I wish them all the best of luck.
“I also want to thank Stewart, the chair of Shillington Men’s Club for helping to organise the grand opening – it was fantastic to see such a great turnout and support from the local community.”
Shabhaz Ahmad, owner at Baan Thai, added: “I want to thank Blake Stephenson MP and everyone who joined us for the grand opening.”
Baan Thai @ The View is open every day from 11am-10pm and you can see the full menu by visiting: baanthaiattheview.co.uk.
