The Cross Keys in Pulloxhill has been crowned Mid Bedfordshire’s favourite pub following a competition run by local Conservative MP Blake Stephenson.
More than 2,000 people voted in the Mid Bedfordshire Pub of the Year competition, with 60 pubs in the constituency nominated.
The lead changed numerous times throughout the competition with The Cross Keys in Pulloxhill running out as winners, followed by The Chequers in Westoning and The Royal Oak in Barton-le-Clay. The Stone Jug in Clophill and The Crown in Flitwick rounded out the top five.
Blake Stephenson, the MP for Mid Bedfordshire, said: “First of all a huge congratulations to this year’s Mid Bedfordshire Pub of the Year, the Cross Keys in Pulloxhill – what a fantastic achievement.
“Thank you to everybody who took the time to support their local pub and vote for them to help us publicise and boost pubs at a time when hospitality is facing significant challenges.
“I will continue to fight for our local pubs and I look forward to presenting The Cross Keys, The Chequers and The Royal Oak with their prizes in the near future.”
