Mid Bedfordshire MP Blake Stephenson has raised his concerns over the Government's plans to introduce mandatory digital ID for UK adults in the House of Commons.
The Government announced its intention to implement digital ID while Parliament was in recess, which did not allow time for scrutiny from MPs.
But following pressure from cross-party MPs, including Blake, Ministers were forced to come to the Commons to defend their decision.

The question followed Blake's survey of Mid Bedfordshire residents where 64% of respondents said they were against the introduction of mandatory digital ID.
