The Government has no mandate to scrap jury trials for some crimes and doing so will not magically clear the backlog.
As our local MP, I will continue to work with my party and cross-party colleagues to oppose the Government's plans.
They have produced no modelling, no data and no analysis to justify this move.
It is quite simply wrong to push ahead with it.
