Blake Stephenson MP has called on the new Prime Minister to visit Mid Bedfordshire during his summer 'tour' of the UK, to see the potential impact of upcoming development in the area.
Blake said:
"Marston Vale villages like Cranfield, Houghton Conquest, Lidlington, Marston Moreteyne and Stewartby will all be impacted by the huge growth planned in the area in the coming years.
"From Universal Studios to the thousands of new homes planned, we desperately need a joined-up infrastructure masterplan for the area to ensure residents benefit from these plans, and do not suffer from them.
"That's why, with the new Prime Minister currently on a tour of the UK, I have written to Andy Burnham inviting him to come and visit us in Mid Beds to listen to local residents about the issues we're facing.
"I look forward to hearing back from him."
