It is shocking that Harlington station remains without step-free access, despite the recent replacement of the footbridge.
I am of course pleased by the investment into the station, and the old footbridge was in desperate need of replacing, but the fact funding was not provided to deliver it with step-free access is not good enough.
When I visited the station with Network Rail I was happy that they were able to show me how they had designed the bridge so step-free access could be retrofitted if funding was made available.
I have been pushing the Government to deliver that funding, and will continue to do so.
